Tequila Sunrise

Geez, I didn’t realise that doing a little spiel on each of my roses would be so difficult.  Here is another one that can’t make up its mind whether it is a Hybrid Tea or a Floribunda.  The label on my rose says Floribunda but the books say Hybrid Tea.  I am going with Floribunda just because it looks like one.

Tequila Sunrise has wavy petals that are bright yellow, flushed with orange.  It is, to say the least, a very bright and lively coloured rose.  It was certainly aptly named.  The flowers repeat well from spring to early winter.

The bush is quite small – it grows to about 80 cms.  It has good health and vigor.

Tequila Sunrise was introduced in 1989 by Dickson (UK).

Tequila Sunrise has won many awards including Royal National Rose Society gold medal in 1988.

Tequila Sunrise is synonymous with Beaulieu.
